Training Programmes

Our programmes use a mix of lively practical exercises and discussions to explore theproblems that we face when trying to access services. Using Forum Theatre, participants watch scenes exploring these problems, and can try out solutions and strategies to overcome them with instant feedback from us. Participants learn ‘from the horse’s mouth’ about the everyday problems we face, and how they can help us to deal with them.

Our most recent programme was for Adult Support and Protection Services. We devised a course linked to the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007, aimed at raising peoples’ awareness of the types of harm that is covered by the Act, and what practical steps they can take if they, or people they know, are suffering harm.

We can offer training in any area relevant to staff who provide services to people with learning disabilities, and can tailor-make training to your organisation’s requirements, based on detailed discussion of your needs.
